About

Who am I?

I’m a marketing maven, a lover of manufacturing, a college English professor, a writer, a poet, a nerd, a networker and people person, a yogi, a reader, a book collector, a perfume collector, a mixed media art and junk journaler, a cat mom, a horsewoman, a thrift store junkie, a realist and pragmatist, a giver, and a volunteer in my local community for an employment ministry, a refugee ministry, a horse therapy barn, and a nonprofit that raises money for scholarships for women.

The Origin of the Company

I worked with a manufacturing client who needed marketing support and consulting combined with manufacturing expertise. The president was handling everything on his own. I provided him with an authentic, personalized, committed, and organized approach. As a result, we built a strong relationship, and he even lovingly gave me the nickname “barracuda” that became the name of my business because he said that I moved the project forward, kept on it to drive it to the finish line, and that it would never have made progress without me and my organizational skills. If you’re looking for a marketing strategist who, in the words of a former boss “gets $h!t done yesterday,” paired with expertise in the manufacturing industry, let’s connect.

My Philosophy

Barracuda B2B Marketing is a marketing consulting firm that believes in servant leadership to empower B2B companies through realistic and proven foundational and growth marketing strategies and incisive, data-driven support to elevate their brand, maintain a strong digital presence, and generate quality leads for the sales team.

What makes me different from every other B2B marketer out there?

Not only do I have 30+ years of marketing experience, but I have worked in-house and as a consultant for more than 25 small- to mid-sized manufacturers, distributors, technical, and trade companies. I also worked for the largest Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

I managed Welding Design & Fabrication, Gases & Welding Distributor, and American Machinist. I understand milling, drilling, boring, lathing, tooling, tolerances, CMMs, CNCs, RAMs, EDMs, Fanuc, Kuka, Motoman, cobots, robots, and the challenges in the industry. I was welding certified from Lincoln Electric. I have my Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belts and will have my Black Belt in 2024. I understand Lean process improvements, decreasing variation, eliminating waste, increasing productivity, saving time and money, and avoiding rework. I apply this methodology to my marketing process. A process is a process no matter which area of the organization.

There is probably no marketer on the planet with this combined knowledge and experience. Plus, my clients become my family. I am all about their best interest as evidenced in my LinkedIn and Google recommendations and reviews. I tend to work with the owners/presidents/VPs/CEOs/CMOs of small- to mid-sized businesses that have 200 employees or less and are at $50 million or less in revenue and who understand that they need to invest a percentage of revenue in marketing to move the needle and constantly bring leads into the pipeline and nurture them. Those are the companies that need affordable foundational and growth marketing strategies because they often lack the in-house expertise, and agencies tend to be too expensive with no one in-house to manage them.

These are just some of the markets that I have served:

  • Metal fabrication and retail displays
  • Flame and heat resistant undergarments for women in the trades
  • Industrial ovens
  • Wood and laminated components and assemblies fabricator
