We have an exciting announcement! In addition to marketing strategy and implementation, we’ve added four more tools to the arsenal to serve industrial companies: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Projects, National Utilities Refund Audits, The Manufacturing Resource Group’s collaborative service offerings, and a webinar series. Simply put: we will save you money to make you money.
Why?
Well, here’s what I’m hearing from most of my clients and prospects: “We know we need marketing. We know we want to hire you and that there is not a marketer out there with your credentials and experience, but we don’t have the budget right now due to the economy. Inflation is killing us. It’s an election year. We’re waiting it out.” According to financial industry expert Jonathan Dominy of Bernstein Private Wealth Management, “Manufacturing is currently experiencing a recession.”
I get that. We can’t ignore how the current financial climate is affecting everyone. It’s hard to come up with funds for groceries and utilities, much less for marketing, but I want you to stay ahead of the competition so that when things break you have an edge. So, let’s shift gears. In trying to solve my clients’ pain and help them grow by constantly replenishing the top of the marketing funnel with leads to nurture so that the sales team never runs out of bottom-of-funnel marketing qualified leads (MQLs), I decided to do this: basically pay for myself. With the following three services, I can save clients money to make clients money so that they don’t have to create a budget. It’s a cyclical, self-sustaining approach that drives ROI. How? Read on. It’s pretty simple.
Lean Six Sigma
First, I have my Lean Six Sigma Green and Yellow Belts. I’m working on my Black Belt project now. I’ve done six Lean Six Sigma projects to date. I’ve partnered with a Master Black Belt, RC Caldwell of Caldwell & Associates, who often realizes and expected savings of $1.5 million through doing a companywide Master Black Belt project that looks at all areas of the business. We can also do smaller projects for specific areas of the organization or provide Lean Six Sigma training. That will save you money and free up capital you didn’t know you were losing to reinvest into the business and take actions that will continue to earn you money.
National Utilities Refund
I also have another service that I am able to offer: National Utilities Refund audits. Did you know that 80% of invoices contain errors and overcharges such as incorrect rate schedules, hidden charges, incorrect tax classifications, cramming charges, charges on unused and old lines, and excessive surcharges? Many companies assume the bills are accurate when they are not.
If we can’t find you savings, there is no cost to you. If we find an error, which we do in 72% of cases, you would give us 50% of what we saved for you by doing the auditing and negotiation work only after you receive the refund from the utility. You keep the other 50% to reinvest in your business for three years. After that, you keep 100% of the reduced cost. These are the bills we evaluate: electric, natural gas, water, sewer, waste/trash, telecom, internet, cable, wireless, propane, and merchant card accounts.
How do we do it? Reduce your rates, decrease your consumption, and recapture and remove overcharges and errors with our team of auditors without changing vendors. And, we can also go back 36-48 months and recover funds for you from prior years!
To get started, it’s as simple as signing an agreement and providing one month’s invoice for each of the utilities. To qualify, you would need a monthly utility spend of $8,000. For merchant card accounts, you would need a $500,000 annual spend and to provide three current account statements. We do the rest. But wait, there’s more. We partner with cost reduction firm Schooley-Mitchell since they don’t do utility audits. My partners can then find you savings on compressed gasses, electronic devices, less than truckload, facility supplies, packaging and shipping supplies, fuel, small package, software as a service, uniforms and linens, office and breakroom supplies. That’s a lot of money you can be saving each month, but you may not have the in-house resources or expertise to dig this deep. We do it for you.
Manufacturing Resource Group
Finally, I formed a consortium of vetted, trusted service partners called The Manufacturing Resource Group who can support manufacturing and industrial companies with a variety of services, including: marketing, facilities and manufacturing optimization, healthcare and workers comp benefits, cost reduction, recruiting and staffing, knowledge management, business insurance, disability insurance, retirement plans, software development, CRM implementation, supply chain packaging, sales, rev ops, business development, productivity software, software-defined electricity, financial planning, tax breaks, leadership coaching, EOS implementation, 5S warehouse throughput, strategic planning, CMMC compliance, ERP implementation, business intelligence and analytics, and more.
Webinar Series
Finally, I am working with two partners in the manufacturing space to bring you a webinar series on topics of interest and help to the industry. The first one should go live in about a month.
